What is JobGrabber?

- Open a Job Search in one of the supported Job Boards. You can open this sample Indeed.com link
- Click the “Grab Job Postings” button.
- After Grab is complete, click one of these buttons
- click “View on LinkedIn” to see who do you know in all these companies on LinkedIn
- click “Download Spreadhsheet” to get a categorized and ordered list of companies in excel
- click “Send Email Report” to get an email report that you can keep for archival purposes
How to Use without a Chrome Plugin (via email)?
Job Boards send job-alert emails. You can forward any one of those emails to [email protected]. You will get a report in 2 minutes. If you send multiple job-alert emails in a day, each report will have the memory of the previous emails sent.
We recommend: to process email job-alerts, it is best to click on the link you get at the bottom of each job-alert email. That will open the browser results and then use the JobGrabber Chrome plugin to capture them. Each job-alert email only has a handful of all the new jobs available. Opening the link at the bottom of the job-board alert gives you all the job ads.

1. Can you walk me through installing the JobGrabber Chrome Plugin?
Step 1: Open your Chrome Browser
This plugin works in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge Browsers. It does not work with Firefox, Safari or any other browser.
Step 2: Open this Plugin link in your Chrome Browser and click the “Add to Chrome” button

Step 3: Click “Add extension”

Step 4: After a few seconds, JobGrabber is installed. To make JobGrabber appear on your Chrome toolbar, click the jigsaw icon in the top right hand corner of your Chrome and click the “Pin” icon next to JobGrabber.

Step 5: Register your JobGrabber plugin. JobGrabber icon will now appear on your Chrome toolbar. Click on the JobGrabber icon and enter your email address. This is to register your plugin. After you enter your email address, click the blue “Next >” button.

Done! JobGrabber is installed and ready to use

2. Can you walk me through how to use JobGrabber?
Step 1: Open any of the following Job boards and do your search. Search for the job title you are targeting, for example “Sales Development Representative”.

Step 2: Click on the JobGrabber icon.

Step 3: Click the Orange “Grab this Page” button

Step 4: Wait a few seconds for it to finish grabbing…

Step 5: Then go to the next page of Indeed.com search results, and grab the orange “Grab this Page” button again. You can grab as many pages as you like. You can grab from as many job boards as you like. JobGrabber will eliminate duplicates between job boards. The more you grab, the more new companies you will get.

Step 6: Get the report. When you finish grabbing, click the blue “Process & Email Report” button. This will compile the report on companies grabbed and send to your email address.

Step 7: Go to your email inbox. In the JobGrabber email report, click any of the Orange Download buttons to get your report.

A blank page will open for 20 to 30 seconds and an excel spreadsheet will be downloaded

Step 8: Open the downloaded spreadsheet. All new companies are placed in the second sheet, called “New Company Prospects”

Step 9: Open new companies in LeadGrabber. If you have LeadGrabber Pro and if you have installed this LeadGrabber plugin then clicking on this link will open all the new companies directly in LeadGrabber, in Sales Navigator.

Now you can add the regular LinkedIn filters and add to LeadGrabber Build Scheduler.
3. How do I delete my history? I want JobGrabber to forget all the companies that it collected on my behalf.
You can delete all the companies that you grabbed today by using the “Clear Today’s History” link in the plugin.

If you want to delete ALL your companies in the history, you can clear your Grab History. To do this, click on the text to the right of the “Clear Today’s History” text.

A new browser tab will open and you will be taken to your Grab History. To clear all Grab History, click the Checkbox at the top of the table and click Delete. This will clear all of your Grabbed History. All the companies captured in the past will be erased. However, your imported client list and exclude list will not be modified.

4. Can I install JobGrabber on multiple computers?
Yes you can install JobGrabber on your home and office PC’s or Macbook’s. Make sure you use the same email address during the setup process.
If you need multiple users in your company to use JobGrabber, please get in touch with [email protected] . If you already have multiple licenses and one user has moved out and you want to change their license so that someone else in your team can use it, get in touch with [email protected] .
JobGrabber works on Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Not on other browsers. Does not work on mobile phones, since mobile browsers do not support plugins.
5. How do I remove companies I don’t want to see in my list?
You can train JobGrabber on the companies you want to remove by doing the following:
- In the JobGrabber plugin, click the “Edit Exclude List” link
- In the new tab that opens, add or import the list of companies that you don’t want to see
- If JobGrabber comes across these exclude companies while grabbing, it will drop them in the “Unfit” section of the spreadsheet. It will not include such companies in the “View on LinkedIn” button. So you don’t have to see these companies again.
6. How do I remove companies which are of a particular Company Size or Industry?
You can use the Exclude Rules option. Watch this video to find out how.
7. How do I know when my clients are hiring?
You can train JobGrabber to recognize your Client companies by doing the following:
- In the JobGrabber plugin, click the “Edit Client List” link
- In the new tab that opens, add or import your list of clients
- If JobGrabber comes across these client companies while grabbing, it will collect them in the “New Job Prospects” tab of the excel sheet, so that in one glance, you will know which of your clients are hiring.
7. What are the Job Boards that JobGrabber supports?
JobGrabber works on the following Job Boards. Click on the name of the job board to see a sample search.
